Warm Wishes

In a few days it will be Christmas. I love this time of year. In spite of the stress of finding the perfect gift, the money to pay for it, and the time to get it. There is a special peace this time of year that all can enjoy if they just stop and be still.

Take this time to let the quiet speak to you and bless you and remind you what you of all you have. I have a lot to be thankful for and I am. I have a wonderful family and beautiful nieces and we all have our health.

I am also fortunate to have started this business with my family. It began from the heart and a genuine desire to put something good into this world.

Tonight this blog is a Thank You to those who have visited our site. I hope you have enjoyed the information and products we have provided. Next week I’ll be away. I want to wish everyone who reads this a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’ll see you in January 2009.

A-HA

For those that regret their time in the sun (or at least the damage from it) have help now from a variety of ingredients to keep their skin smooth, healthy and younger looking. One of those ingredients is Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA). It burst onto the market about 10 years ago as the next best thing, but it has been around and used since the time of Cleopatra. (She used milk to bathe.) AHA’s are derived from fruit and milk sugars and through the ages women have used lemon juice and tomato juice, old wine and sour milk to fight off ravages of time.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids act as a mild skin “peel”. The over the counter variety of AHA is not as potent as those used in a chemical peel. AHA’s in OTC products generally contain 5% -10% whereas those used at the doctor’s office can contain as much as 30%. Through exfoliation it enhances cell regeneration, penetrating deep into the skin and shedding the dead outer layer, revealing a new, fresh layer of radiant looking skin.

Because of these properties AHA’s are also effective acne fighters. As it removes the outer layer of skin cells it also removes excess oils without drying out the skin. It stimulates the lower layers of the epidermis to grow smoother, healthy skin.

Caution is advised when using this product, however. Don’t use AHA products around the eyes. This is still an acid – even if it is very mild. It acts as a kind of peel, leaving the new layer of skin sensitive to the sun and sunburn. It is advised that when using this product you stay out of the sun and use sunscreen when you are outside. There are terrific advantages to this ingredient but its effects should also be respected.

Wild Natural Beauty features Radiance Alpha Hydroxy Acid Natural Crème. See how effective it can be for you.

Honey

Honey’s reputation as a beauty aid is well founded. Many famous women in history are known to have used honey to enhance their beauty. Even those women who are not famous have used honey. One of the reasons for its popularity is that it readily available; honey is in many kitchen spa recipes.

Honey is found in lotions, soaps, crèmes, and even sunscreen. The properties in honey make it the best all around skin care product.

It is a humectant, meaning it pulls moisture out the air to itself and retains that moisture. It’s antimicrobial and antiseptic properties makes it excellent for acne because it keeps the infections clean. This also helps reduce redness and irritation. Since ancient times people have utilized these properties in honey to form a protective seal over wounds to keep bacteria out and to speed healing.

The antioxidants in honey work to improve skin tone and elasticity, reducing scarring. Honey is also found sunscreen. Research has found that honey protects the skin from the UV rays that damage skin and even aids in cell regeneration; healing damage already caused by the sun.

Honey’s wholesome and natural image has endured through generations for good reason. We at Wild Natural Beauty are excited to have products with honey as a primary ingredient. We welcome you to visit our website for these featured items; Honey Bar soap and Sweet Harvest Natural Lotion.
